Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • This manuscript is an original work of the authors and has not been previously published, nor is it currently under consideration by another journal. All authors have made substantial contributions to this study and have read and approved the final version of the manuscript for submission.
  • The study has been conducted in accordance with applicable ethical standards and guidelines. Where the research involves human participants or animals, the authors confirm that all procedures comply with institutional ethical regulations and have been approved by the appropriate ethics committee. Informed consent has been obtained where required.
  • The authors declare that there are no conflicts of interest that could have influenced the results of this study. All sources of funding have been transparently disclosed in the manuscript
  • The authors further confirm that the data presented in this study are original, valid, and reliable. Supporting data will be made available upon reasonable request by the editor. All references have been properly cited in accordance with accepted academic standards.
  • If this manuscript is accepted for publication, the authors agree to comply with the copyright policies of the publisher.
  • The official date of receipt is determined by the editorial office. All subsequent correspondence, including editorial decisions and proofs, will be communicated to the authors prior to publication unless otherwise specified. By submitting the manuscript, the authors grant permission to the editors to make necessary edits to improve clarity and readability.

Author Guidelines

Submission

The submitted manuscript should be addressed to the Editor in Chief of Jurnal Ners Indonesia (JNI). The manuscript must be submitted through online by a registered user. You can easily register with the journal system. For further questions contact us at jni@ejournal.unri.ac.id.

Author Guideline

Authors intending to submit manuscripts to this journal are required to comply with the established author guidelines. Manuscripts must be systematically organized and include the following components: title, abstract, introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusion, conflict of interest statement, acknowledgements, and references.

Submitted manuscripts must represent original work, must not have been previously published, and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all sources are appropriately cited and that the manuscript adheres to the prescribed formatting and referencing style of the journal.

All manuscripts must be written in English and formatted on A4-size paper (21 cm × 29.7 cm), using single spacing and a two-column layout with 2.5 cm margins on all sides. Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) or Rich Text Format (.rtf).

Articles should consist of approximately 8–10 pages or 3,000–4,500 words, including references.

The manuscript must follow the journal’s prescribed structure. The title should be concise, informative, and limited to a maximum of 12 words without abbreviations.

Author Information

The names of all authors and contributors must be listed in the correct order of contribution. The corresponding author’s email address must be provided and should refer only to the first author. Each author’s name must be written consistently and accurately as it should appear in publication, including the use of middle names or initials where applicable. Institutional affiliations for all authors must be clearly stated and appropriately matched to each author.

Structured Abstract

The abstract must be provided in both Indonesian and English and placed on the first page beneath the author names and affiliations. The abstract should include the research objectives, design/methodology, findings, research limitations, practical implications, and social implications. The abstract must not exceed 250 words, excluding keywords.

Keywords should accurately reflect the main topics of the manuscript and be presented in a concise manner. A maximum of five keywords is permitted.

Title and Headings

The title should be concise and clearly reflect the content of the manuscript. Hierarchical headings and subheadings should be clearly differentiated and consistently formatted throughout the manuscript.

Figures

All figures, including diagrams, photographs, graphs, line drawings, and screenshots, must be of high quality and suitable for publication.

Tables

Tables must be typed and integrated into the main body of the manuscript. They should be placed as close as possible to the relevant text and properly labeled.

References

Authors must use the APA citation style (7th edition) for both in-text citations and the reference list. References should be arranged alphabetically at the end of the manuscript. Authors are encouraged to prioritize recent and relevant references published within the last five years.

Author Fees (Article Processing Charges)

The Jurnal Ners Indonesia (JNI) is committed to promoting equitable access to scientific publishing and supporting researchers worldwide.

JNI does not charge any fees at any stage of the publication process. This includes:

Open Access Statement

The Jurnal Ners Indonesia is a fully open access journal. All published articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide without subscription or payment.

Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full text of articles for lawful purposes without prior permission from the publisher or authors.

All articles are published under an open access license stated in each article.

Plagiarism And Generative Ai Policy

The Jurnal Ners Indonesia upholds high standards of academic integrity and originality. All submitted manuscripts are screened using Turnitin plagiarism detection software. Authors are required to submit the Turnitin similarity report during manuscript submission.

Manuscripts with a similarity index above 20% (excluding references, quotations, and standard methodological phrases) may be returned for revision or rejected depending on the extent of overlap.

Authors are required to use reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero in manuscript preparation.

JNI does not tolerate unethical publication practices, including:

  • Plagiarism
  • Self-plagiarism or duplicate publication
  • Improper citation or misrepresentation of sources

Generative Ai Policy

The Jurnal Ners Indonesia (JNI) recognizes the increasing use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools in academic writing. Authors may use AI tools to enhance language quality, clarity, and readability. However, the use of such tools must be accompanied by appropriate human oversight and critical review.

Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the content. AI tools must not be listed as authors or co-authors, as they cannot assume accountability for the work.

Where AI tools are used, authors are expected to provide a clear disclosure in the manuscript.

Required AI Disclosure Statement

Authors who use AI tools should include a statement such as:

“The author(s) used [NAME OF TOOL/SERVICE] to assist in [SPECIFIC PURPOSE, e.g., language editing, drafting, or data organization]. The author(s) have reviewed and edited the content as necessary and take full responsibility for the final version of the manuscript.”

AI in Images and Visual Materials

The use of AI-generated images, figures, or graphical content must adhere to ethical and scientific standards:

  • AI-generated visuals may be used for illustrative or explanatory purposes, provided their use is clearly disclosed 
  • AI-generated content must not be used as primary evidence in scientific or clinical claims 
  • Authors must ensure that all visual materials are accurate, not misleading, and properly attributed 

Editorial Rights

JNI reserves the right to evaluate and determine the appropriateness of AI use in submitted manuscripts. Submissions found to involve unethical, undisclosed, or inappropriate use of AI may be rejected or subject to further editorial action.
