STUDI FENOMENOLOGI : PENGALAMAN PERAWAT MELAKUKAN RONDE KEPERAWATAN DI RUMAH SAKIT ISLAM SITI RAHMAH PADANG

Nursing services are often used as a benchmark for the image and quality of a hospital in the eyes of the public. Nursing rounds are one of the methods in nursing management that can improve the quality of nurse services. Poor nursing rounds can be one of the factors that prolongs the healing process in the hospital. Failure to carry out nursing rounds will result in serious illness, life threatening and physical dysfunction. service quality is low. The purpose of this study was to explore the experience of nurses carrying out nursing rounds at the Siti Rahmah Islamic Hospital in Padang. A total of ten nurses participated in this descriptive phenomenological study through in-depth interviews. Participants were obtained through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the Collaizi method. The results of the study found four themes, namely (1) Insufficient Knowledge of Nurses About Nursing Rounds; 2) Inadequate Preparation for Nursing Rounds; 3) Barriers to the Implementation of Nursing Rounds Based on Workload, Lack of Knowledge, No Policies and Low Motivation at Work; 4) Nursing rounds are aimed at increasing nurse competence and as problem solving for patients. These results illustrate the importance of the nurse's experience in carrying out nursing rounds. It is hoped that the manager of RSI Siti Rahmah Padang will carry out controlling in the implementation of nursing rounds so that the quality of nursing services is optimal.
