Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

General

  1. Manuscripts submitted to JNI are original manuscripts which are the full responsibility of the author and have never been published.
  2. Manuscripts that are in the process of publishing or that have been published by JNI become the property of the editor and may not be republished by other parties in any form.
  3. Unpublished manuscripts will be returned if there is a request from the author accompanied by a reply stamp.

Special

  1. Articles published by JNI consist of: research results, theories or concepts, and book reviews in the field of nursing. Manuscripts are typed using Times New Roman font, size 12pt, and double spacing. Manuscripts are created in .docx and submitted through OJS JNI by registering first.
  2. The author's name is placed under the title of the article without an academic degree. For the first author it is written with the number 1, the second author with the number 2 and the third author with the number 3. If the author of the article is more than 3 people, only the name of the main author is listed under the article title; the names of other authors are listed in the footnotes of the first page of the manuscript. The author's name is written in bold. Manuscripts compiled by a team of writers, editors only relate to the main author or the author whose name is listed in the first order. Authors are encouraged to include an email address for easy communication.
  3. The manuscript is written in Indonesian in an essay format with a title for each section. Writing the title is printed with capital letters in the middle, size 14pt with a maximum of 20 words.
  4. The systematics of research articles are: title; author's name (without academic degree); abstract (100-150 words) containing objectives, methods, results, conclusions and suggestions, only written abstract in large initial letters and in bold, position in the middle, letters used 10pt, words key (typed based on the first keyword found in the abstract), the abstract is made in 2 versions: Indonesian and English; introduction: written in all capital letters and in bold, which contains the background and objectives of the research; method; results; discussion; conclusions and recommendations; bibliography (only contains referenced sources).
  5. The procedure for presenting quotations, bibliography, tables, and figures follows the provisions of the APA (American Psychological Association, 2010) style in Indonesian-language articles using improved general Indonesian spelling guidelines. Citation using bracketed reference technique (name, year). The inclusion of sources in direct quotations should be accompanied by a description of the page number of the quotation. Example: (Bobak, 2005: 30).
  6. The bibliography is compiled and sorted alphabetically and chronologically. The letters used are 12pt, between one source and the next there is no space.
  7. Manuscripts are sent anonymously to reviewers for review. Article writers are given the opportunity to make revisions (revisions) of the manuscript on the basis of recommendations/suggestions from reviewers or editors. Confirmation of loading or rejection of the manuscript will be notified in writing.
  8. The author of the article is responsible for all matters relating to licensing of citations or the use of computer software for the manufacture of manuscripts or other matters related to intellectual property rights carried out by the author of the article, as well as the legal consequences that may arise as a result.
